S8256 Onboard Vehicle Pressure Measurement SystemThe S8256 Pressure Measurement System is a fully integrated instrument consisting of a microcomputer-based Data Acquisition and Control Unit (DACU) and Electronic Pressure Scanners (ESP) designed specifically for onboard vehicle multichannel pressure monitoring. This system offers a sensor per port providing high sample rates and digital compensation of sensor thermal errors to achieve high accuracy. |

Thermal zero and sensitivity shifts of the sensors are
automatically corrected by the microcomputer using scanner calibration data
stored in personality EPROM(s). On-line rezeroing capability upon request is
also incorporated to compensate for sensor zero drift with time.
Pressure data is updated continuously and stored in memory at up to 10,000 channels per second for up to 384 pressure channels with ±0.25% FS worst case inaccuracy. This data is transferred to the PCM Data System, upon an interrupt request, at up to 10,000 readings per second allowing synchronous operation in most cases.
